Nurture the next generation of inventors and innovators by setting up an environment that empowers early learners to become real-world problem solvers. View the short videos below to find out how.

Set Up Your Environment

Ready to create a play space that empowers your early learners to imagine, create and innovate?

You don't need an engineering degree (or a big budget for expensive engineering toys) to set up an engineering-rich environment for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

You probably already have many, if not most, of the items you'll need—from LEGO bricks, blocks and loose parts to popsicle sticks, modeling clay and marble runs.

You can also repurpose everyday items such as empty boxes, buckets, carpet squares, and paper towel cores to build houses, forts, pulleys, catapults, and more.

View the videos below to learn how to teach young children about the engineering design process, create an environment that promotes engineering literacy, and turn everyday objects into early engineering teaching tools.

Then choose one of our free online lesson plans to get started. Your Engineering Explorers will be designing, building and testing out their ideas in no time!
